Jobstown Tallaght 13-7-24
Jobstown Outreach 13-7-24
When Job declared prophetically; “𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔” he was pointing toward the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and when God told Satan you can touch everything belonging to Job except his life, God was declaring from eternity that 𝐉𝐨𝐛’𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭!
On the pre-event Zoom prayer meeting, Friday evening - one of our American team members released a prophetic word: “Job (in the bible) is more famous for his trials and testing – which is where we get the saying; ‘I am going through the trials of Job’, rather than his blessed life before the trials began, and how his life after was 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡.
So too with Jobstown and Tallaght much focus is given to the negative anti-social behavior, and the broken, addicted, and anxiety filled lives of many of its residents.

Jesus declared; "𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆" – it was with this message of hope that we pressed into prayer, worship, and declaration over the community of Jobstown, the sense of God’s presence was thick in the air – faith and expectancy rose, and the 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞!!
Partnering with 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 we came alongside their vision and heart for the community.
The day was organised with a free barbecue, and a Rap and testimony evening.

𝐓𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 were split into three groups; one went into a local housing estate, another went into a local street party arranged by the residents committee, and the third went to the local Jobstown shopping centre.
Well, what can be said? – the spirit of God was all over the community of Jobstown yesterday.
So many people encountered the love of God, there were people who surrendered their hearts to the Lord, many were met with words of life and encouragement, and many were prayed with for life’s deep emotional, and tragic circumstances – even Christians living in the area were encouraged as the teams went throughout the community.
Those who went into the community street party shared the good news of Jesus’s life changing power and were able to pray with people (𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕)
In the local housing estate, some needs-based evangelism was carried out with shopping vouchers being purchased – the lady of the house said to the team; “𝒏𝒐 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌” she will remember this encounter for the rest of her life
The cross outside Jobstown SC
At the shopping centre when the cross was erected, and the worship music began to play – the atmosphere changed, and the Spirit of God moved in a spectacular way – some who came walking by said they could sense something beautiful in the air.
sharing the gospel Jobstown SC
Many people encountered were invited back to the barbecue, and music night – and turned up – this gave another opportunity to bring the message of God’s grace, the amount of ministry done was tremendous, follow up details were passed onto the local church, and Jobstown was impacted forever – peoples lives will never be the same again!
