The Prophet Jeremiah wrote, “Ask for the old Godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path and you will find rest for your souls.” Jesus echoed this in Matthew’s Gospel when He said, “Take my yoke upon you, let me teach you and you will find rest for your souls.” When speaking to Thomas, Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life - No one comes to the Father except through me.” A road to life and peace is found in having a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

The City of Cork gets its name from the large wetlands upon which it is located, Corcaigh meaning marsh, so as with any marsh or swamp, there is a right way to navigate and cross safely. Just as Jeremiah spoke of a way to have rest for the soul, Jesus clarified and confirmed He is the way to the Father, where we find rest for our souls.
